Assassin's Creed Odyssey: latest installment of Lost Tales of Greece, Shadow Heritage coming next week, more updates

The latest entry in the Lost of Tales of Greece saga for Assassin's Creed Odyssey has been released, and another paid content drop already has a release date.

A new content drop for Assassin's Creed Odyssey has appeared, and it's the latest entry in the Lost Tales of Greece saga.

Titled The Daughters of Lalaia, a village has been left "defenseless" and you'll have to make decisions about its survival and prepare its inhabitants for the coming danger.

How to start The Daughters of Lalaia in Assassin's Creed Odyssey

To start the game, head to the Valley of the Nymphs in the Phokis region after reaching the fifth chapter of the main story path. The first quest is called A Gathering Storm and Ubisoft recommends that you have at least level 13 experience.

Some people report that the quest doesn't appear correctly for them. If this happens, exit the game and return to the main title screen, then go back to your save, open the world map and you should be able to see A Gathering Storm in Phokis.

The Poet's Legacy

In another new monthly quest, The Poet's Legacy, you will meet "Greece's most scandalous poet". During this quest, you'll learn that she's not what she seems, as you'll be "increasingly involved in her risqué performances". Ooh, sounds interesting.

To get started, get to Chapter 5 of the main story and head to the Boeotian region. The first quest is titled The Praxilla Devotee, and it's recommended that you're at least experience level 34.

If you have the Assassin's Creed Odyssey Pass, you'll be pleased to know that the second DLC is coming later this month.

It's called Shadow Heritage and continues the storyline from the first episode, Hunted. Shadow Heritage will task you with investigating the blockade around the port city of Achaia. You'll discover a group of stranded citizens whose lives are "threatened by the fierce naval commander" in charge of the blockade. Get ready for a battle on the high seas in this installment of the game.

Shadow Heritage will be available starting January 15. To start Episode 2, you must complete the first episode, Hunted, complete the Naxos quest in Chapter 7 of the main story, and be at least level 28.

And that's not all: the legendary cyclops Arges is coming, and if you defeat him, you'll get the Hammer of Hephaestus. He lives on a volcanic island, which you can quickly travel to thanks to additional markers added to the map in title update 1.1.1.

This is an endgame challenge, which means you must be at least level 50.

Aya from Assassin's Creed Origins will be available as a Legacy lieutenant later this month for Uplay members, along with the new Dionysos character pack . This includes an equipment set, a magnificent bull mount, and a legendary dagger. And even later this month, you'll be able to get your hands on the Athena Pack.

Finally, a new title update is in the pipeline for January 10 that will add a brand new vendor to the game, Hephaestus. You can find Hephaestus' workshop in the Cave of Myson in the Malis region. You can expect the following services from him:

  • Learn - See all existing engravings and buy more engravings for Drachmas.
  • Upgrade - You can upgrade your equipment to level 6 and 7.
  • Engraving - As with any blacksmith, you can also engrave equipment in Hephaestus' workshop.

With the next update, you will be able to adjust the scaling of enemies to the following preferences:

  • Heavy - all enemies remain at your level
  • Normal - No change in difficulty settings
  • Light - Content is about two levels below your level
  • Very light - content is about four levels below your level.

Quick note: this option will not be available on Nightmare difficulty mode.

It promises to be a busy month. Enjoy the game.
