Recently, we reported on a rumor that we could expect a meeting with the young Luke Skywalker
in the Star Wars series around Obi-Wan Kenobi (once again played by Ewan McGregor). But Anakin Skywalker's son isn't the only known character currently being chattered about in the rumor mill.In fact, Jason Ward of Making Star Wars claims to have learned from an anonymous source that we could be in for a guest appearance in the Kenobi series for Disney+, which certainly won't be to every Star Wars fan's liking. According to the insider, there will be a reunion with Jar Jar Binks. The name of the clumsy gungan usually comes up when people justify why they can't do too much with the second trilogy.
Jar Jar Binks is said to be wearing a beard in the new series, symbolizing the hardships he has endured since the fall of the Old Republic. Together with Obi-Wan, he reminisces about old times, moreover, both summarize at the reunion how they have fared since their last meeting. By the way, thanks to the official Star Wars novel "Aftermath", which takes place a few years after the destruction of the Second Death Star, we know that the Kenobi series will not be the end of Jar Jar Binks. In said novel, the Gungan is a down-and-out clown who entertains orphans on Naboo.
However, Jason Ward himself admits that the rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, as filming for the Kenobi series hasn't even started yet.
