Update from February 17th:
A quick reminder that starting this week, it will be more rewarding for you to raid instance Castle Nathria in the Shadowlands!
Original post from February 15:
The issue of loot and drop rates has been on the minds of the WoW community ever since Shadowlands' release, causing extensive discussions with the developers. After Game Director Ion Hazzikostas recently rejected an adjustment to the loot system before the release of the second season, the WoW team has now apparently relented.
Players who regularly travel to Castle Nathria can look forward to a significant increase in the drop rate in the first Shadowlands raid, after they had to accept a reduction in loot
at the end of 2020: As the developers announced in a bluepost, bosses will drop a total of 33 percent more loot than before starting February 17, 2021 after the server reset and weekly maintenance. The adjustment applies to all difficulty levels.Accordingly, bosses will soon drop two pieces of gear instead of one in a 10-player raid, while the yield will increase to four items in 20-player raids. The full blue post reads as follows (translated by us):
"With the weekly maintenance (February 17 in this region), we plan to make adjustments to [raid] tuning to increase the amount of loot Castle Nathria rewards you with and to improve the drop rates of certain item types
.Raid
Castle Nathria
10-player raids should now see 2 equipment items, and 20-player raids should now see four equipment items per boss. These adjustments will not affect any other loot available in Castle Nathria (such as Legendary Memories or Media), and they will not affect drops from raid encounters outside of Castle Nathria.
Thank you for your feedback!"
