WoW Shadowlands: No 16% XP at launch - anniversary will be brought forward

Highlight recent changes Yes No

On November 23, World of Warcraft will be 16 years old. That's when the game first appeared in the US. In the game, this birthday is already celebrated on November 16 and lasts until November 30. As usual the last few years, players can expect a few small goodies in the mail.

UPDATE 30.10.: Blizzard has moved the anniversary forward (start on 1.11.20), so that the event already ends on November 24 and thus before the launch of WoW (buy now 14,99 € ) Shadowlands.

One of these anniversary gifts is the holiday package, which increases the received experience and reputation growth by X percent. X always stands for the respective birthday. So this year, players would permanently receive 16 percent more reputation and experience. Theoretically ...

Because at the same time as the anniversary on November 23, the new expansion Shadowlands will be released, in which players will have to level up from level 50 to 60. So players would benefit from a hefty XP and reputation bonus for up to a week after release. What would not have a big impact in the level range from 1 to 50 would be devastating for the Shadowlands content.

The question is whether this is really intended, since players who start later would be at a severe disadvantage. Players who start right away, on the other hand, level up characters in a much shorter time and secure all the special bonuses, mounts and, above all, the recipes needed for the legendary items via reputation.

The dataminers of wowhead.com have already found the new 16 percent buff in the game files and do not see any restriction for the Shadowlands areas. Nevertheless, there is a debate in the community whether we will really benefit from the anniversary buff. What do you guys think, will the strong buffs be disabled for the Shadowlands? Or would that perhaps be a compensation for the postponement? Write us in the comments.
