WoW: Spell-batching and PvP queues in season of the championship

The championship season for WoW Classic is just around the corner, and the developers are using the remaining time to address various unanswered questions from players in the forum. We have summarized the info nuggets for you below.

  • There will be no spell-batching in WoW Classic: Season of Championship any more than in the Era servers or in TBC Classic (source).
  • Unlike in TBC Classic, there will be no battleground matches between teams of the same faction in Season of Championship. There should also not be the restrictions on tribe groups that were temporarily active on the TBC Classic servers (source).
  • WoW Classic patch 1.14 introduced a convenience feature: When you use an ability or interact with an item, you will automatically be fetched by Mount. In a future version of WoW Classic, there should be an option for this in the settings to enable or disable the feature. If you want to disable the feature already, you can do so via CVar command:

/script C_CVar.SetCVar("autoStand", 0);
/script C_CVar.SetCVar("autoDismount", 0);
/script C_CVar.SetCVar("autoUnshift", 0);

Replace the 0 with a 1 and you will activate the function again (source).

Reminder: name reservation starts today!

Remember that the name reservation period for the championship season starts tonight! It starts on November 11, at 21:00 CET. You have several days to coordinate with other players and secure your character. To do so, select WoW Classic in the Battle.net launcher and then World of Warcraft (buy now 14,99 € ) Classic. The realms of the championship season will appear in the game in a new seasonal tab in the realm selection of WoW Classic. The following realms will be available to you:

  • Bonescythe - PvP
  • Dreadnaught - PvP
  • Ironfoe - PvP
  • Kingsfall - Normal
  • Quel'Serrar - Normal

During the name reservation, you can create a maximum of one character per WoW account. If you change your mind about a character, you can delete it and create a new one on any available realm in your region. Also note that each realm only allows a limited number of created characters. When a realm reaches this limit, no more names can be reserved on it.

If realms become full during the reservation process, it is possible that the developers will provide additional realms as early as November 12. With the start of the championship season on November 17, the limit of one character per WoW account and the maximum number of characters per realm will be lifted.
