WoW: Which classes rock Arena Season 1 of TBC Classic?

Most WoW fans who play WoW: Burning Crusade Classic regularly will probably set foot in the arena at some point. The goals can vary from "only ten games for a few arena points" to "play your team ranking as high as possible and become a gladiator".

Then, as now, it's easier to achieve your goal if you sign up for Arena matches with a combination of classes that makes sense. But which classes and specializations are currently the most popular or good in the arena? Who's rocking Season 1 and which archetypes are struggling? We'll tell you (we're focusing on the EU region)!

The best and most popular classes in the 2-player arena

First, let's look at the class distribution in the 2s bracket:

  1. Rogues (19.47 percent)
  2. Druids (14.41 percent)
  3. Priest (13.73 percent)
  4. Mage (12.96 percent)
  5. Warlock (11.13 percent)
  6. Warriors (9.39 percent)
  7. Hunter (6.75 percent)
  8. Shaman (5.95 percent)
  9. Paladin (4.28 percent)

Horde is significantly more active in the 2s bracket, with a 61.47 percent share. Most players are Undead (31.85 percent). They are followed by Humans (14.14 percent), Orcs (13.47 percent and Tauren (10.54 percent). The current best teams rely on the following combinations:

  • Rogue and Mage
  • Warrior and Druid
  • Rogue and Priest
  • Mage and Priest
  • Hunter and Druid
  • Rogue and Druid
  • Warlock and Rogue
  • Warlock and Priest
  • Warlock and Druid

The best and most popular classes in the 3-player arena

Now let's look at the class distribution in the 3-team bracket:

  1. Druids (14.18 percent)
  2. Rogues (13.74 percent)
  3. Priest (13.36 percent)
  4. Warlock (12.32 percent)
  5. Warriors (11.91 percent)
  6. Mage (10.74 percent)
  7. Shaman (9.12 percent)
  8. Hunter (7.64 percent)
  9. Paladin (5.28 percent)

Horde is significantly more active in the 3s bracket as well, with a 61.51 percent share. The most players here are also Undead (27.15 percent). They are followed by Orcs (16.01 percent), Humans (13.51) percent, and Tauren (11.28 percent). The current best teams are going with the following combinations:

  • Rogue, Priest and Mage
  • Rogue, Warlock and Druid
  • Rogue, Warlock and Priest
  • Warlock, Warrior and Druid
  • Warrior, Priest and Druid
  • Hunter, Druid and Mage
  • Hunter, Druid and Warlock
  • Priest, Mage and Shaman

The best and most popular classes in the 5-player arena

Last but not least, let's take a look at the class distribution in the 5-team bracket:

  1. Shaman (12.98 percent)
  2. Druid (12.14 percent)
  3. Priest (12.13 percent)
  4. Warrior (12.03 percent)
  5. Warlock (10.97 percent)
  6. Mage (10.91 percent)
  7. Rogue (10.72 percent)
  8. Hunter (9.21 percent)
  9. Paladin (7.17 percent)

Horde share: 60.94 percent. The most players here are also Undead (23.58 percent). They are followed by Orcs (17.87 percent), Humans (12.77 percent), and Tauren (10.45 percent). Since many 5-player teams rotate through seven to ten players, it's difficult to determine the best class setups here. What is clear, however, is that mages, shamans, priests, and warlocks are all welcome here.
